Destination Wedding | Koh Samui, Thailand | Christian Berg

Last week I photographed a gorgeous destination wedding at the Intercontinental Koh Samui. The couple decided to keep it small and intimate so it was only them and efficiant for the ceremony. Samui is a beautiful destination year round and especially the Intercontinental is huge and at a secluded part of the island so there are tons of options for cool portrait images. We were very lucky with the weather as usually August has a bit of a share of rain, but here it all cleared up after a heavy downpour in the early afternoon.

Congratulations to the couple Casia & Eric. This was one of the most intimate and beautiful weddings I photographed.

Photographer's Venue Tip.

The long pier is an obvious choice for the wedding ceremony. But I think harder to find is the suspension bridge half way up between the beach and the upper parts of the hotel. We used it for the "First Look" images and it proved just to be the right location.
